Challenge

Many of our customers come to us seeking efficient, safe and cost-effective solutions for moving and installing large, heavy plants and equipment, like transformers, generators and industrial machinery. The traditional method for the lift and shift element of the task relied predominately on large mobile cranes or crawler cranes. While still an effective solution, the mobilisation costs for cranes were very high, particularly when required in rural/remote areas or the mass of the load required larger crawler crane style configurations. 

Value

The Lift-N-Lock system is a portable hydraulic gantry system that can lift and shift up to 320T. It is an alternative solution to the traditional mobile and crawler crane. It provides ease of mobilisation and lifting capacity, providing more efficient and safer lifting and installation options. The system offers flexible solutions for controlling the final installation or unloading point. With full remote control, it can remove operators from risks and dangers and allows flexibility of vision for the crew operating the unit. However, for some sites (like airports) that require non-wireless operations, it has a cable option. It provides an additional layer of safety assurance through the use of a mechanical lock-out system - provided through the J&R Engineering Gantry system: Cam Lock technology. This means that in the unlikely event of a lift cylinder losing pressure or failing, the system will immediately engage to hold the load in place, providing continual load protection throughout the duration of the lift.
