The Russell Family

Members from the Russell Family have been involved in the Family business since 1925.

The company was started by Mr Roy Russell, who was later joined by his wife, Beryl, in laying the foundations for the success of the business.

When son, Phil, took over the reins in 1971 he brought with him the next level of growth and development of the family business to include ownership of Metro-Lift Cranes, Caloundra General Transport, Bayley Industrial and Lytton Industrial.

Several of Phil's children (the third generation) are now working in the business and being groomed to take the Russell Group forward.

A number of important changes have occurred in recent months, most notable is the appointment of the third generation Russell's as Directors of our companies.

Ken Russell, who now has 10 years with the "firm" and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Business (BBus), and Julie Russell, who has a BA and BBus and has rejoined the company after 6 years in Sydney, have both accepted important roles in taking the business forward.

This follows the sale of Phil Russell's shareholding in TLC to John West, who has also resigned from the Russell companies to concentrate his attention on the TLC / DGL business.
